ANSWER: No it is not a sin!!! But the question which arises is that if in the past someone had asked this question then those realities and facts were not known about the universe, like apex and crux which are known now. Let me tell you about the mechanism of understanding; what we know about the word apex (Arsh). How will you explain the word Arsh? It is explained in terms of an elevated seat being lifted by eight angels. It is still lifted by them but to whom? May be we ought not to know about it (Arsh) but let think over it for a while! Facts are being disclosing with a passage of time about this universe. There is a hadith in which Prophet (PBUH) says, O’ Abuzer do you know where the sun goes after setting? Of which He replies, only Allah and His apostle know well! And then Prophet (PBUH) told him that the sun goes to the top height of skies until it reaches at the Arsh and then being commanded by God to come back. A day will come when God will command it not to come back but to arise from the Arsh. Pervez sahib has objected this hadith (representing himself being a modern Muslim) by saying that Allah almighty and His Apostle were not known to technical cosmology of constellation, It is a big mistake, further He says that the sun comes and goes in a circle only within 24 hours and nothing else happens. But with a passage of time we have come to know about the fact that sun really reached in herculean galaxy at a point of height known as solar apex. And the word Apex in Urdu is translated as Arsh. So this place really exist where sun goes with the speed of 150 miles /sec.
Ladies and gentlemen! Now we have come to know what our Prophet PBUH meant to say when he used the word Arsh, he used it for a huge Centre on the upper galaxies. So Arsh (Apex) could be name of some height at inner or outer universe. When Allah Almighty says in Quran that before the creation of this universe his apex was on waters then we can interpret this Arsh as the seat of Allah Almighty. It could be a huge most star which entered in this universe and Allah was present in this star and He begun the creativity. Now the next question which arises is about the existence of Allah, where is Allah? If we say that he is here or there then it is sinful to pass such comments. He is everywhere and encompasses everything within his power or knowledge. So it is useless to say either he is between or above something. Here again I have to quote the hadith of Prophet PBUH when he was asked to explain where was Allah before the creation of this universe he said, “he was in the clouds surrounded by air’. It means Allah is not known by its size or location; he is known by the job he does in which he has no partner. So it would be wrong to fix him in a particular place. We are unable to understand it because we do not have that mind and information!
