I would try my best to explain it. You will have to go a little bit in the background to understand it fully. The development of embryo in the mother’s womb is a smooth process and there is no missing link in this process. If we observe all this process through microscope then we come to know that all the different stages of embryo move smoothly from one step to other and all this happened without any missing link. And at this point we do not agree with Darwin. He never said that evolution is a continuous and smooth process. Contrary to this fact he had written in the last page of his book that ‘I am presenting a theory in which if u do not find any missing link then it should not be acceptable!’.
On the other hand we have found a large number of fossils under waters which never appeared before. The crop of these fossils has appeared at once and there is no missing link between appearing and disappearing of these species. And this fact has come on surface after studying of fossils.
Now I am going to tell you about two facts and it’s up to you to decide!
Darwin's Theory of Evolution is the widely held notion that all life is related and has descended from a common ancestor: the birds and the bananas, the fishes and the flowers -- all related. Darwin's general theory presumes the development of life from non-life and stresses a purely naturalistic (undirected) "descent with modification". That is, complex creatures evolve from more simplistic ancestors naturally over time. In a nutshell, as random genetic mutations occur within an organism's genetic code, the beneficial mutations are preserved because they aid survival -- a process known as "natural selection. This theory was being supported by different sciences (genetics sociology, anthropology and fossils genetics) and at the same time these sciences are against Darwin’s theory. So there are two schools of thoughts. One of them thoroughly supports this theory and some anthropologist did not accept it.
There are following Aayah in the Holy Quran:
Such of our revelations as we abrogate or cause to be forgotten, we bring (in place) one better or the like there of .Knowest thou not that Allah is able to do all things. 106.3
Allah has not mentioned any where that he developed things from non-life, instead of this He said, He creates better ones from the previous. There is only one difference …….you have to remember only two things to understand Quranic and Darwinian theories of evolution. According to Quran when Allah wish to move from one species to the other He extinct the previous! And if he wishes he only moves to transition! He is able to do all things. There is nothing more to fight over! Let me tell you one term; when we talk about ‘evolution’ it is in fact ‘quantum jump’ to move from one stage to other and between these two stages comes a pause! Where as the beholder of Darwinian Theory holds the belief that to move from one species to other depends upon environment and circumstances alone! We do not agree here. They say that in the process of evolution species are developed by natural selection. But we believe that it is Allah Almighty who did the intervene!
