There are many kinds of atheist and you can keep friendship with them ……eat drink and be merry…….but be careful about one thing ,don’t follow their eating habits instead of eating unlawful things with them , try to develop in them your eating habits. To keep friendship with an atheist is not forbidden in Islam. Usually we quit friendship when it affects our faith, for example, if your atheist friend is very impressive and you are not able to give answers to his arguments then most probably your faith would become weak. Gradually he would have a strong hold over you because of his strong culture and arguments and in such a situation its you who are weak not your religion. One who deliberately accepts religion is basically a large hearted, generous and liberal person. I don’t think so there exist any beautiful person except the religious person, it is next to impossible I don’t know what is your religion and which religion you have accepted? Allah has promised in Qur’an that His light runs ahead of his lovers and followers. Obviously they are more attractive then any body else as God said: Who would be more beautiful, handsome and attractive than the person who is engulfed with light of God. I think you should broaden your religious understanding instead of getting afraid of any atheist.
