Ans: Who has forced you to believe in God, your such belief can not even bear the blow of a single question.
Questioner: There is no doubt in my mind.
Ans: Why don’t you believe in Satan then if to believe in any reality is called Iman?
Questioner: Belief in God is a kind of faith.
Ans: Tell me why is it a sin to worship idols?
Questioner: Please explain the following verse:
“That is because Allah hath revealed the scripture with the truth”. ( Albaqra 176)
Ans: This verse is included in the later parts of Qur’an and God has begun the scripture with another statement. Every book starts with a positive statement, it means God has to write the above statement first but He has provided us with freedom of thought in an intellectual context to believe Him. If our intellect convinced us to believe that God exist then we have to believe, as God says:
“Lo! We have shown him the way, whether he be grateful or disbelieving”
(Ad-dahr3)
But God has not begun Qur’an with any positive statement if He did so then it would have become a claim. Then I could believe my friend who is asking that God has forced us to believe Him. God is a great teacher, I have been a teacher for fifteen years too and in my opinion a great teacher is the one who explains both negative and positive aspects of any problem and decision is left to the student. In short ,one who thinks and believe and uses his intellectual capacities to understand about God, when he comes up then ultimately he reaches this statement:”That is because Allah hath revealed the scripture with the truth” and the second part of the this verse is about data and ultimacy. There is no doubt that Christen and all other faiths are the part of the same faith, meanwhile God says ,if we will quote that data it would not correct e.g. there were seven or eight disciples of Jesus Christ: Mathias, Judas, Bartholomew etc. Different documentation came when Judas’s lessons were listened by companions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and that documentation were not copied and instead of copying it they conveyed further by letters. It reached Antioc’s great churches of Saint Paul .After seventy years it came in book form. Therefore basic controversies still exist which were present at that time. Moreover when Pop Paul compiled the bible he consulted at least one hundred and thirty six versions. And the present version is considered to be the most compromising version. So God says, you just do not have to quote myself from the other books as they are separated now from its context and are changed. This (Qur’an) is the book of which I myself give the guarantee. If you have to quote myself then quote from this book. A writer has written a book about Qur’an, bible and science in which he has explained the controversies of bible and Qur’an.
Another Questioner: I want to suggest my friend who has asked this question to read this book in which writer has compared the authenticity of both bible and Qur’an. This writer has observed that whatever bible is saying is not proved by sciences therefore bible is wrong where as the data provided by Qur’an is proved by sciences.
Ans: Infect his objection is outcome of fear, God forbids! He fears that data provided by God would turn against sciences. I want to clear him that some data’s has been discovered by sciences from Qur’an, and there are possibilities of some improvement as Qur’an says:
“We made every living thing of water” (Al-Anbiya 30)
And biology has further confirmed that all life is created by water. Now it has become a law. There are many Quranic laws which are not confirmed yet by sciences or they are in mid way in the form of hypothesis. There is no need to be feared, with the advancement of sciences nature will confirm it and I swear by God if there would be anything proved against Quranic data, I will be the first man to leave God. He has given me the liberty to refute or believe unless I understand it fully. I have searched God and now from thirty years I am with him. First of all you need some logic to believe then comes closeness with God. If you are willing to be closed to God then sciences are not enough. You will have to get knowledge of every thing. Let me tell you about a science which has not yet been discovered by sciences and I learn it from Qura’n.It is science of feelings and sentiments; it is a pity that sciences labeled feelings as unscientific. As time will pass you will come to know its actions, reactions and reciprocal reactions. After ten years you will learn that every feeling is a science, all the syndromes are science. But it will take time…
